This policy explains what we collect when you use TakafolSouq — on the web or in the app — how we use it, and what your rights are.
1. What we collect
When you create an account we store your name, email, and phone number if you provide one; your password is stored hashed and we never see it. When you add a business we store the details and images you enter. Visitors who are not signed in are asked for no personal data to browse.
2. How we use it
We use your data to run the directory: showing listings, signing you in, reviewing submissions, and sending notifications about your account or your business. We do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Location
We request your location only when you use the Near Me feature, and use it at that moment to measure distance to nearby businesses. We do not store your location, log it, or track your movement, and you can decline the permission and keep using everything else.
4. Images
Images uploaded by business owners are stored on our server and shown on the business page once approved. EXIF metadata (including capture coordinates) is stripped during processing, and images belonging to an unapproved listing are never shown to visitors.
5. Sessions and cookies
We use a single technical cookie to keep you signed in on the web, and in the app a token held in the device's secure storage. We use no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers.
6. Third parties
We use an email provider to send account and notification messages, and a maps service to show locations and directions. We do not sell your personal data or share it for marketing.
7. Retention
We keep your account and business data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account your personal data is removed and your listings are hidden, apart from limited administrative records we are legally required to keep.
8. Your rights
You can view and correct your data from your dashboard, and you can delete your account entirely from within the website or the app without contacting us. For any question about your data, get in touch.
9. Children
The service is intended for adult business owners and visitors. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13, and we delete such data if we receive it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Updates take effect from the date they are published on this page.
